Driver's Log 11/15/14 Sound Stage: Someone big must be at Sound Stage, half my fares are going there. I pick up the first group from Patterson Park, they are rolling on Molly. I don't know exactly when "Ecstasy" became "Molly". "Molly" strikes me European drug slang, where they call the drug by a person's first name. Cocaine is "Charlie", Crystal Meth is "Tina" (short for Cristina), and MDMA is "Molly". These kids are starting to feel it, especially the girl in the back seat who is smearing her face all over the rear window and babbling about how cold and good it feels. I pass out little bottles of water (usually reserved for drunks on the way home) and remind them to stay hydrated in my best Dad voice.

Another group consists of girls from JHU. They are already drunk in a hyper, silly way. I can tell they don't usually drink, or get out much. I'm starting to notice trends in the way students from various schools behave: Towson undergrads are often aggressive and obnoxious; future statesmen and salesmen. Loyola has a lot of bros and stoners. Hopkins students treat going off campus like it's a field trip. MICA's crowd is too broke to call a car, as I've yet to pick up a single one. The one commonality is that they all want to hear Z104.3, the Taylor Swift station. One of the girls requests the station, so I dial it in. They proceed to throw shade on their friend who was too lame to join them, until the girl in the front screams that she loves this song and spins the volume knob all the way. The stereo in my Passat can get unpleasantly loud, and she has just cranked it to 11. "Shake It Off" smashes through the car with enough decibels to shake off the windshield.
