Projekt30 2016 Redesign
In 2016 I decided that it was far past time for Projekt30 to get a facelift.
Projekt30 had been designed in 2003 by James Kafader. In 2003 most of our clients were still on dial up, so creating a site that loaded quickly was paramount. James wanted to create a visually distinct site, and so made very creative use of the HTML4 and XHTML "table" tag, to create the cool grid pattern that would become our visual trademark.
By 2016 the old design was looking quite antiquated. We had avoided updating the site because the plan had been to migrate clients to EraGallery. I decided to give the site a facelift.
Using the Foundation CSS framework as a starting point, I redesigned the site to comply with modern web standards. This included pop-over images and forms, a collapsible menu, and a responsive design for mobile devices. It was a difficult process as I had to rewrite large sections of the site's PHP source code, but the results were worth it.
Projekt30 has reached the end of its life, however you can view an archived version of the site.
