Driver's Log 11/02/14 1:41AM EST: The switch back to standard time has given everyone an extra hour to get drunk. I roll into Towson and into a scene of utter pandemonium. The streets are lined with thousands of drunken children illuminated by the flashing blue lights of police squad cars. I crawl down York Rd looking for my fare. A drunk girl stumbles into the street and face-plants across the double yellow line 20 feet directly in front of my car. Her friends pick her up by her hands and feet, like a freshly killed dear, and carry her back to the curb.
I find my fare. Without asking, they pile 6 people into 4 seats. Normally I'd tell them that isn't allowed, but I'm distracted by a drunk girl in skinny leather pants who is attempting to pass out on the hood. As I go south to the dorms, the guy riding in the front rolls down the window and begins screaming at pedestrians. When we pull to a red light he leans out the window and beings pounding on the window of the next car over. I seriously consider throwing them out, but the destination is right around the corner and I decide to avoid a confrontation.
